The city of Sabha is located in the southwestern part of Libya, approximately 750 kilometers from the capital Tripoli, bordered to the north by the Zallaf desert region, Wadi al-Shati, Attaba, al-Ajal, Murzuq and Qatroun areas, and the Fezzan road connects the city with the rest of the cities.
The city has a long history, as evidenced by its monuments, such as historical castles, canals and irrigation systems dating back ten centuries, as it was a meeting point for trans-Saharan caravans coming from north to south and from south to north.
One of its monuments is the city of “um Al-Ruwais”, which dates back more than seven centuries, and is known as um Al-Ruwais Palace.
