Tobruk

 

Tobruk is a Libyan coastal city 1300 km east from the capital Tripoli

It has many Greek, Roman and Islamic monuments inside and outside the city. It has the famous Byzantine wall (Justinian) and its remains still stand today and there is a western city of ancient city with an area of four square kilometers with the largest mosaic floor known in the eastern region of Libya There are traces of primitive churches that spread in caves during the call for the Christian religion, the most important of which is the church ((Valley of the Plain)) The ancient city of «Anteparchos» and there is an archaeological city under sea water on the western side of Tobruk

One of its oldest landmarks is the Old Mosque, built in 1880 and one of the oldest mosques in the region (recently removed), and the new old Tobruk Mosque was erected in its place. In 1897 came an emigration from Crete to Tobruk, when the Turkish authorities transferred a number of Muslim families to some Libyan cities to save them from Crusader persecution.

The city has one airport now, which is about 25 km south of the city center, a civilian airport now called “Tobruk International Airport” and a military airport at the same time, with domestic and international flights to and from Tripoli and Benghazi There is a project to develop Tobruk Airport to turn it into an international airport.

Al-Abraq

Al-Abraq is a Libyan town belonging to the municipality of Derna. It is located in the center of Jabal Al Akhdar, about 17 km from the city of Al Bayda. It has a Labrq airport , with an area of ​​700 hectares. The passenger capacity is 400,000. It is located 25 km east of the city of Al-Bayda.

 

Sabha

The city of Sabha is located in the southwestern part of Libya, approximately 750 kilometers from the capital Tripoli, bordered to the north by the Zallaf desert region, Wadi al-Shati, Attaba, al-Ajal, Murzuq and Qatroun areas, and the Fezzan road connects the city with the rest of the cities.

 

Ghat

Ghat, is an ancient city, which is 1400km away from the capital, Tripoli, and is located in the western Libyan desert on the out skirts of the Libyan Algerian border. Ghat is an important tourist destination due to the presence of prehistoric rock paintings and inscriptions in the Tadrart Akakus Mountains, as well as the beauty of the surrounding desert landscape.
